Overview
AMR and AMRO are General Bruciatori’s flame register Duoblock burners. They are intended for applications where the flame must be shaped precisely to match the combustion chamber geometry. AMR has a round body that is particularly suitable for retrofit on existing installations, while AMRO has an octagonal body with reduced overall dimensions. Both series use a mechanical flame register to adjust flame length and opening angle.
Capacity range
AMR and AMRO cover a very wide capacity range from approximately 0.5 MW up to 100 MW. This allows the same burner family to be used on large industrial boilers, rotary kilns, incinerators and many other high capacity plants.
Fuel flexibility
Like the rest of the GB range, AMR and AMRO are built on a fully customizable fuel platform and can be engineered to operate on:
- Natural gas and LPG
- Diesel and light oil
- Heavy fuel oil
- Biogas, ethanol and other process gases
- Coal gas, waste gas, waste oil and animal fat, when required by the project
These burners can be supplied in dual fuel and multi-fuel configurations, including simultaneous firing of conventional fuels with process or waste fuels, under a controlled combustion strategy.
Key technical features
- High temperature resistant steel combustion heads for long life
- Flame register for adjustment of flame length and angle
- Manual flame register as standard, with motorised actuation available
- Configurations with retractable head and front shutter for incinerators and high temperature furnaces
- Pilot burner system for safe ignition
- Low NOx combustion heads available to meet strict emission limits
- Electronic modulating versions with integrated control
Options and customization
- O2 and CO trim for high efficiency and low emissions
- Inverter driven combustion air fans
- ATEX and explosion proof versions for hazardous areas
- Full customization of mounting, insertion length, register actuation and ancillary equipment such as oil pumping units, gas trains, fans and control panels
AMR and AMRO are the natural choice when the combustion system must be tailor made to a specific furnace, kiln or incinerator, both for new plants and retrofits.
Typical applications
- Steam, hot water and super heated boilers in industrial plants
- Rotary kilns, rotary dryers and drum dryers in minerals, asphalt and building materials
- Incinerators and waste treatment plants, including waste to energy units
- High temperature process furnaces that require accurate flame shaping and high turndown
- Retrofit projects where an existing chamber needs a new burner tailored to its shape
