On Request Burners

Special executions and engineered solutions

Overview


On Request Burners represent the most flexible part of the General Bruciatori range. These are special executions that are engineered case by case for demanding fuels, extreme conditions or unique layouts. InnoBurn uses On Request Burners when a standard GB ML, GB S or AMR-AMRO configuration is not enough to fully match the process requirements.

 Capacity range


On Request Burners can be engineered across a very wide capacity range from approximately 0.2 MW up to 100 MW, depending on the application. Solutions can be based on modified standard series or fully bespoke designs.

 Fuel flexibility


Fuel flexibility is often the main driver behind an On Request project. Typical fuel concepts include:

  • Hydrogen, biogas and syngas, including operation at elevated gas temperatures
  • Various process and waste gases from industrial plants
  • Heavy and residual oils with special atomization systems
  • Emulsion systems combining heavy oil with water or other components
  • Multi-fuel concepts with simultaneous firing of different conventional and waste fuels

In all cases the burner is designed together with the control strategy, air system and safety concept to keep combustion stable and emissions under control.

 Key technical features


Depending on the project, On Request Burners can incorporate:

  • Air fans with inverters for precise air flow control and reduced power consumption
  • O2 and O2/CO trim systems to maximize efficiency and minimize emissions
  • IP55, IP65, ATEX and Ex d executions for hazardous or harsh environments
  • Double flow and variable air flow systems for high turndown ratios
  • AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel construction for corrosive atmospheres
  • Special mechanical emulsion systems for dust reduction at the stack
  • Retractable combustion heads and automatic refractory doors for very high temperature chambers

 Custom engineering and integration


Every On Request Burner is part of a complete engineered package. Together with General Bruciatori, InnoBurn can:

  • Analyze the process, furnace and fuel characteristics in detail
  • Define the flame geometry, capacity range and fuel strategy
  • Design the burner together with gas and oil trains, fans, pumping units and control panels
  • Integrate control systems to manage safety, modulation and multi-fuel operation

This approach allows InnoBurn and General Bruciatori to solve combustion problems that cannot be addressed with ordinary burners, while still using proven components and decades of industrial experience.
