ETC6000

Overview


ETC6000 is an electronic burner management system for modulating single or dual fuel (gas and oil) burners, supporting single fuel profiles or mixed profiles. It replaces mechanical linkages and characterizing cams with repeatable servo positioning and can be networked for multi-boiler installations. Typical installations include steam and hot water boilers, oil heaters, and process driers.

Core functions


  • Manages modulating burners using single fuel profiles or mixed gas and oil profiles
  • Executes integrated burner start-up sequencing functions and timings, including ignition control
  • Supervises flame using IR, UV, photocell, or ionization flame detection interfaces
  • Positions fuel and air drives via servo motors to deliver accurate, repeatable modulation control across the firing range
  • Controls combustion air fan and fuel pump speed using up to two variable speed drives
  • Provides safety shutdown on burner system failure, including fuel safety valve control and leak testing, with Ethernet networking support for multi-controller boiler plants

  • Communications protocol options include RS-485, Profibus and Modbus RTU, with Ethernet networking for multi-boiler applications

Options and customization


  • Oxygen trim option using a dedicated ETC oxygen probe and interface
  • Fan and/or pump speed control via variable speed drive control options
  • Communications interface selection via RS-485, Profibus or Modbus RTU (as required)
  • ETC Plant Master boiler sequencing system to connect up to 10 ETC600 controllers to a user interface for boiler sequencing
