ETC6003

Overview


ETC6003 is an integrated burner management system for modulating dual gas burners that operate on two distinct gas fuels. It is designed for applications that switch between separate gas sources, such as natural gas and waste gas, and it is not intended for blended firing. The compact controller integrates key safety, modulation, and ratio control functions for both new installations and retrofit work.

  • Manages modulating dual gas burners operating on two distinct gas fuels, supporting single and mixed fuel profiles
  • Switches between separate gas sources, maintaining controlled combustion performance during fuel transitions
  • Executes integrated burner start-up sequencing functions and timings, including ignition control
  • Provides flame supervision using supported IR, UV, photocell, or ionization flame detection interfaces
  • Performs integrated PID modulation and air-fuel ratio control, including programmable fuel-air profile curve sets
  • Integrates safety and proving functions for dual gas systems, including gas valve proving, leak detection, and fuel safety valve control and proving

  • Communications protocol options include RS-485, Profibus and Modbus RTU

  • Optional fan speed control via variable frequency drive (VFD)
  • Oxygen trim option using a dedicated ETC oxygen probe and interface
  • Communications interface selection via RS-485, Profibus or Modbus RTU (as required)
  • Options for oil firing or boiler water control expansion

Typical applications


  • Dual gas burner systems that alternate between a primary gas and a secondary waste gas source
  • Industrial sites using natural gas with available waste gas fuels such as biogas, refinery off-gas, or landfill gas
  • Retrofit upgrades where integrated dual gas safety proving, flame supervision, and ratio control are required in a compact controller
