Overview
ETC6023 is a dedicated servomotor within the ETC6000 Burner Management System family, intended for precise positioning of air dampers and fuel metering valves. It supports stable, repeatable air-fuel ratio profiles by replacing mechanical linkage behaviour with accurate electronic positioning.
Core functions
- Positions air dampers with repeatable accuracy to support electronic ratio control
- Positions gas and oil metering valves to follow defined air-fuel ratio profiles
- Enables one dedicated servomotor per controlled component, removing dependency on mechanical linkages
- Helps maintain combustion consistency by avoiding linkage hysteresis and backlash effects
- Supports multi-component burner configurations with multiple servomotors on one ETC6000 system
- Provides controller-visible diagnostics to help identify issues such as communication loss and position errors
Key technical features
- High positioning resolution of 0.1 degrees over a 90 degree stroke
- Accurate repeatability supports reliable air-fuel ratio profile reproduction
- Designed for precise positioning of air dampers and fuel valves in burner control systems
- Supports use of dedicated servomotors for secondary air dampers and gas or oil metering valves
- System scalability supports up to 10 servomotors per system with ETC6000 series controllers
- Intelligent fault reporting supports alarms such as loss of communication and positional errors
- Each servomotor has a unique serial number to strengthen system integrity
- Replacement drives require controller-specific passcode recommissioning to prevent unauthorised changes
- Reduced wiring infrastructure supports simpler installation and lower wiring labour
- Consolidated connections reduce terminations compared to designs using one channel per servomotor
Options and customization
- Certified hazardous-area versions are available, including ATEX and IECEx compliant options
- EX variants are available at 20 Nm and 40 Nm, designated ETC6023-Ex and ETC6024-Ex
- Higher-force drives can be integrated via the ETC6020 line voltage servo interface when greater actuation force is required
- Third-party drives for other zones can be integrated via the ETC CANBus servo interface
Typical applications
- Electronic positioning of secondary air dampers and fuel metering valves on industrial burners
- Multi-servomotor burner systems where repeatable air-fuel ratio profiling is required over time
- Combustion installations in hazardous environments where certified servomotor options are required
