Overview
ETC6024 is a dedicated servomotor within the ETC6000 Burner Management System family, designed for accurate positioning of air dampers and fuel metering valves. It supports stable, repeatable air-fuel ratio profiling by replacing mechanical linkage behaviour with precise electronic positioning.
Core functions
- Positions air dampers to support repeatable electronic air-fuel ratio control
- Positions gas and oil metering valves to follow defined combustion profiles
- Enables one dedicated servomotor per controlled element, removing dependence on mechanical linkages
- Helps maintain profile accuracy by avoiding hysteresis and backlash effects common in linkages
- Supports complex burner configurations by allowing multiple servomotors within one ETC6000 system
- Provides controller-visible fault and status reporting to support safe commissioning and ongoing operation
Key technical features
- ETC6000 servomotor range covers 4 Nm to 40 Nm sizes for burner management applications
- Positioning resolution of 0.1 degrees over a 90 degree stroke for fine profiling control
- High repeatability supports consistent reproduction of air-fuel ratio profiles
- Supports up to 10 servomotors per system when used with ETC6000 series controllers
- Intelligent fault reporting includes loss of communication and positional errors
- Each servomotor is assigned a unique serial number to support system integrity
- Replacement drives can only be recommissioned using a controller-specific passcode
- Reduced wiring infrastructure compared to architectures using one channel per servomotor
- Consolidated connections reduce terminations, lowering potential failure points and improving reliability
- Designed to integrate with advanced control and monitoring platforms when combined with complementary systems
Options and customization
- Certified hazardous-area versions are available, including ATEX and IECEx compliant options
- EX variants include a 40 Nm model designated ETC6024-Ex for potentially explosive atmospheres
- Higher-force drives can be integrated via the ETC6020 line voltage servo interface when greater actuation force is required
- Third-party drives for other zones can be integrated via the ETC CANBus servo interface
Typical applications
- Electronic positioning of secondary air dampers and gas or oil metering valves on industrial burners
- Multi-servomotor burner systems requiring repeatable air-fuel ratio profiling over time
- Combustion installations where certified hazardous-area servomotor options are required
