Overview
ETC6027 is a dedicated servomotor for the ETC6000 Burner Management System, intended for accurate positioning of air dampers and fuel valves in combustion control applications. By using a dedicated servomotor for each variable element, it supports stable, repeatable air-fuel ratio profiles without relying on mechanical linkages.
Core functions
- Positions air dampers accurately to support electronic air-fuel ratio control
- Positions gas and oil metering valves to follow defined ratio profiles
- Supports dedicated servomotor per controlled component to remove mechanical linkage dependency
- Helps maintain repeatable combustion profiles by reducing hysteresis and backlash effects common in linkages
- Supports multi-element burner configurations by allowing multiple servomotors within one ETC6000 system
- Provides system diagnostics and fault visibility through controller reporting of communication and position errors
Key technical features
- Servomotor torque range covers 4 Nm to 40 Nm for ETC6000 burner management applications
- Positioning resolution of 0.1 degrees over a 90 degree stroke for accurate profiling
- Supports reliable repetition of air-fuel ratio profiles as operating conditions change
- System capacity supports up to 10 servomotors per installation with ETC6000 series controllers
- Intelligent fault reporting includes loss of communication and positional errors
- Each servomotor has a unique serial number to support system integrity
- Replacement drives can only be recommissioned using a unique controller-specific passcode
- Reduces wiring infrastructure requirements compared to architectures using separate channels per drive
- Consolidated connections reduce terminations, improving reliability and simplifying installation
- Designed to integrate with advanced control and monitoring platforms when combined with complementary systems
Options and customization
- Certified hazardous-area versions are available, including ATEX and IECEx compliant options
- EX models are available at 20 Nm and 40 Nm, designated ETC6023-Ex and ETC6024-Ex
- Higher-force drives can be integrated via the ETC6020 line voltage servo interface when greater actuation force is required
- Third-party drives for other zones can be integrated via the ETC CANBus servo interface
Typical applications
- Electronic air-fuel ratio control of secondary air dampers and gas or oil metering valves on industrial burners
- Multi-servomotor burner configurations within ETC6000 burner management systems where repeatable profiling is required
- Combustion systems deployed in hazardous areas where certified servomotor options are required
