ETC6215

Overview


ETC6215 is a compact expansion module for the ETC6000 series that provides basic boiler drum water level control and high and low level safety interlocks. It connects to the main ETC6000 controller via CANBus and is set up and monitored through the ETC6000 touchscreen HMI, making it suitable for industrial steam boilers where TDS monitoring is handled externally or not required.

Core functions


  • Monitors boiler drum level using a single 4-20 mA analog level input
  • Accepts digital inputs from on-off level switches for safety limits and shutdown interlocks
  • Controls feed-water pumps using relay-based outputs as part of the ETC6000 control scheme
  • Provides high and low water level alarm outputs for operational protection
  • Exchanges status, alarms, and trends with the ETC6000 controller over CANBus for real-time visibility on the HMI
  • Supports phased upgrades by adding water quality and blowdown capabilities when fitted with the optional ETC6211 daughter board

Options and customization


  • Add the ETC6211 daughter board to enable TDS measurement and PT100 temperature inputs and to support automated blowdown functions
  • Configure pump control logic for two-pump systems, including lead-lag or duty-standby switching
  • Select the level sensing method based on site instrumentation: 4-20 mA probe input and or digital level switches
  • Select the required environmental protection configuration: IP40 standard or IP54 (where applicable)

  • Industrial steam boilers requiring basic drum level control and feed-water pump management within the ETC6000 architecture
  • Installations where water quality and TDS monitoring are provided by separate equipment or are not required
  • Retrofit projects and phased upgrades where basic level control is installed now with the option to add TDS and blowdown later
